        I occasionally find myself writing in a series I never have before and which I seriously doubt I will again.

        Dune

        Yes, the classic 1960s SF novel.  Yes, I know I'm weird.

            The Morning After The Night Before
            The morning after Paul and Jessica arrive at Sietch Tabr, Chani meditates upon her life.
        I've always liked Chani best out of all the Dune characters, so I guess if any of them were ever going to grab me and say "Write me!", it'd be her.


         

        Princess Tutu

        There are some series that just grab you and scream, "Watch me!"  'Princess Tutu' is one of them.

           A Summer's Day
            A blind crossover.  Kinkan Town receives some... unusual... visitors.
            This one's for Fred and Sheena, because it's All Their Fault.

        The Dark Is Rising

        This urban Athurian fantasy series, consisting of five books, was among my favourites growing up.  I've written for this series before, but the fic is... ahem... on my Adult Page.

            Discovery
        One's first encounter with the DiR fandom usually is a bit of a shock....
            No explicit sex here, but a homosexual relationship is referred to.  Just so you're warned.

        Full Moon wo Sagashite

        Another shoujo magical girl show, this one is from 2001 and seems to have slipped through the cracks.  Still, I like it.

            Watching a Shooting Star
        Masami watches Mitsuki's first live.
            Mitsuki is one of the few mahou shoujo heroines who doesn't make me itch, but somehow I identify with Ooshige-san more.  It's probably the crush on Wakaouji-sensei....

        GateKeepers

          Set in 1969, this retro-sf-fantasy series is one of my favourites.  Romance, adventure, cameraderie, betrayal... and miniskirts!

        Megumi's thoughts after the end of the series.
           I don't recommend reading this unless you've seen all the series.  The spoilers aren't very obvious, but if you don't know what happens, you'll probably be quite confused!

        Yami No Matsuei

          The shoujo treatment of the afterlife... angst, bishounen, humour, bishounen, angst... oh, and did I mention the bishounen?

           Say a weird samurai who hasn't the brains of a gnat came up and gave you a pink, heart-shaped crystal eyepatch that turns you into a fighter that constantly gets attacked, what would you do? And the darn thing won't stay thrown out....

         Sometimes home is somewhere you've never even seen before.

          One of the few shounen anime out there with a good strong heroine. You must watch this show.

        Shoujo Kakumei Utena

            What is reality? What is fantasy? And what on Earth is Chu-chu, anyway?

            Reflections on a Staircase
         Not my best work, but considering the fact that it was my first hour fic (a standing challenge on FFML: write whatsoever you please, but it must be less than an hour from the time you start to the time you finish) and at the time I had only seen up to episode ten, I don't think it's too bad.

        Wedding Peach

          Sailor Moon fan though I am, to me, this is the quintessential mahou shoujo show. Tighter group, tighter storyline, cooler (and cuter!) Bad Guys... I'll be putting up my Wedding Peach shrine soon. In the meantime, please enjoy the (one! Ulp!) fanfic I've written.

        Heart Heart High

            The Mouse's Defiance
           I am a fan of Improfanfic - a type of fanfic, in which contributors will each write a chapter in turn and the chapters are posted as they're written. Although I enjoy several of the Impros, one of my favourites was a 'psycho shoujo' serial called 'Heart Heart High'. I wanted to examine a particular secondary character, so I wrote this omake.
            There are several major continuity differences between the canon HHH and this omake that I couldn't really fix within the fic and keep it all logical (such as Shiro's parentage), so this is best characterized as an Alternate Universe.
