This is not the Fushigi Yuugi Drinking Game, although it works along the same principles. This is the Fushigi Yuugi Fanfic Drinking Game. The Management welcomes any and all contributions to the list. Tell the Management about the trends in FY fanfic you've noticed!

The Management recommends that this game be played with Pepsi, Jolt, Sprite or other non-alcoholic beverages, because the majority of FY fans are teenagers and the Management does not wish to be accused of inciting underage drinking. Also, if you play this game with alcohol, you may find the words too blurry to read halfway through the fic.

If you do choose to play with alcoholic beverages, the Management declines to be held responsible for your actions and/or your parents' reaction when they come home to the decimated liquor cabinet.

HOW TO PLAY
1) Select one, or more, Fushigi Yuugi fanfics.
2) Select the beverage of your choice and pour a glass. (The Management recommends you leave the bottle out, for ease of refills.)
3) Take glass back to the computer, sit down, open fic and begin to read.
4) When an event described on this list occurs in the fic, take the number of drinks indicated on the list from your glass.

MIAKA
    - For any fic where Miaka falls on her face and/or arse, take 1 drink
    - For any fic where Miaka is a glutton, take 1 drink
        - Where it is a plot device, take 2 drinks
        - Where it is a factor in the enemy's plot, take 3 drinks
    - For any fic where Miaka can't cook, take 1 drink
        - And it has disastrous consequences for at least 1 Seishi, take 2 drinks
            - And it isn't part of The Food Chain, take 3 drinks
    - Every time she does something idiotic, take 1 drink
        - When it turns out to be a plot device, take 2 drinks
    - Every time she declares love for Tamahome, take 1 drink
        - When Tamahome also declares love, take 2 drinks and an aspirin
            - If it evolves into a lemon, take 3 drinks and an insulin shot
    - If she declares love for someone else, take 2 drinks
        - If it's Tasuki, take 2 drinks from someone else's glass
        - If it's Nuriko, take 3 drinks
        - If it's Hotohori, take 1 drink
        - If it's Amiboshi, take 2 drinks
        - If it's Nakago, take 2 drinks
        - If it's Yui, take 3 drinks
        - If it's Soi, take 4 drinks
        - If it's Suboshi, take 3 drinks
        - If it's Tomo, take 2 drinks
            - If he's in his makeup, make it 4
        - If it's Chichiri, take 3 drinks, raising at least 1 to the author
        - If it's Mitsukake, take 4 drinks
        - If it's Chiriko, scull the glass
            - If any of these go lemon, add 2 drinks
                - Unless it's Chiriko, in which case, go raid the liquor cabinet

TAMAHOME
    - Any fic where he does something silly/idiotic for money, take 1 drink
        - And he justifies it by saying "I love money", take 2 drinks
            - for each repetition, add 2 drinks
    - Any fic where he declares love for Miaka, take 1 drink and an aspirin
    - If he declares love for someone else, take 2 drinks
        - If it's Yui, take 1 drink
        - If it's Soi, take 2 drinks
        - If it's Nakago, take 3 drinks
        - If it's Tasuki, take 4 drinks
        - If it's any of the other Suzaku Seishi, take 5 drinks
        - If it's Suboshi, scull the glass
            - If any of these go lemon, add 2 drinks
                - Unless it's Suboshi, in which case, go raid the liquor cabinet
    - Any fic featuring his family, take 1 drink
        - If it deals with his role as family breadwinner, take 2 drinks
            - If Yuiren is featured heavily, take three drinks and an insulin shot

TASUKI
    - For every word that he says that would be replaced on 4 o'clock television with bleeeep, take 1 drink
    - For every time he yells "REKKA SHINEN!!", and flames something, take 1 drink
        - And the thing he flames is Tamahome, add 1 drink
    - For every time he gets drunk, take 1 drink
        - And it's out of depression, take 1 drink
    - For every mention of the fangs, take one drink
        - And he uses them in an unconventional manner, add one drink
    - If he has a Deep And Meaningful moment with Chiriko, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with Miaka, take 2 drinks
        - If she loves him back, take 3 drinks
    - If he falls in love with the Mary Sue, take 1 drink
        - If he becomes a reformed character as a result, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with Kouji, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with Nuriko, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with Chichiri, take 2 drinks
        - If any of these go lemon, add 2 drinks

CHICHIRI
    - For every "no da", take 1 drink
    - For every angsty interlude over Hikou and/or Kaen, take 1 drink
    - For every Deep And Meaningful moment with Chiriko, take 1 drink
    - For every Deep And Meaningful moment with Mitsukake, take 1 drink
    - For every Deep And Meaningful moment with Miaka, take 1 drink
    - For every reference to the scar, take 1 drink
    - For every reference to the mask, take 1 drink
    - Every time it's mentioned that he wasn't Tama-neko's original owner, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with Tasuki, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls in love with the Mary Sue, take 2 drinks
        - If either of these go lemon, add 2 drinks

NURIKO
    - For every reference to the the braid, take 1 sip
    - For every reference to his crossdressing, take 1 sip
        - And the plot requires another Shichiseishi to crossdress with him, take 1 drink
    - For every deathfic, take 1 drink and sing the first verse and chorus of "It's All Been Done Before"
    - If he goes straight, take 2 drinks
    - For every mention of his love for Hotohori, take 1 drink
        - If it is reciprocated, take 2 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 3 drinks
    - For every mention of his love for Miaka, take 1 drink
        - If it is reciprocated, take 2 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 3 drinks
    - If he falls for Tasuki, take 2 drinks
        - If it's reciprocated, take 3 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 4 drinks
    - For every reference to his sister, take 1 drink and a tissue

HOTOHORI
    - For every reference to his rank, take 1 drink
    - For every reference to the Imperial Crown as 'the bucket hat' (or variation thereof), take 1 drink
    - For every reference to his love for Miaka, take 1 drink
        - If it is reciprocated, take 2 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 3 drinks
    - For every reference to Miaka's teddy bear, take 2 drinks
    - For every reference to his marriage, take 2 drinks
        - And his affection for his wife is mentioned, add 2 drinks
    - For every reference to his son, Boushin, take 2 drinks
    - If he falls for Nuriko, take 2 drinks
        - If it goes lemon, take 3 drinks

MITSUKAKE
    - If he never says a word in the fic, take 1 drink
    - If Shouka is mentioned, take 1 drink
    - If Tama-neko is mentioned, take 1 drink
        - If Tama-neko pulls one of his impersonations, take 2 drinks after you finish choking with laughter
    - If there is a Warm And Fuzzy moment with Chiriko, take 2 drinks
    - If he has a Deep And Meaningful moment with Chichiri, take 2 drinks

CHIRIKO
    - If his intelligence saves the day, take 2 drinks, raising at least 1 to the author
    - If he gets scared out of his intelligence by Tasuki, take 1 drink
        - And he manages to save the day anyway, take 2 drinks
    - If he has a Warm and Fuzzy moment with Chichiri, take 1 drink
    - If he has a Warm and Fuzzy moment with Mitsukake, take 1 drink
    - If he has a Warm and Fuzzy moment with Tasuki, take 3 drinks
    - If it's a deathfic, take 3 drinks and email the author

SUZAKU
    - If He refers to His Shichiseishi as "My sons", take 1 drink
    - If He is, literally, a chicken, take 2 drinks
    - If He acts like He has more feathers than brain cells, take 2 drinks
    - If He and the other Gods are brothers, take 1 drink
        - And He's having a sibling spat with Seiryuu, take 2 drinks
        - And He and Seiryuu are being ganged up on by Genbu and Byakko, take 2 drinks
    - If Suzaku is referred to as female, scull the glass

YUI
    - If her love for Tamahome is mentioned, take 1 drink
        - And she admits to herself that it was just a crush, add 1 drink
    - If she feels guilty over the rift between herself and Miaka, take 1 drink
    - If she tries to suicide, take 2 drinks
    - If she falls for Suboshi, take 2 drinks
        - And admits it, take 3 drinks

NAKAGO
    - If a reference is made to the fact that he is a Westerner, take 1 drink
    - If he is unwillingly drawn into a hentai situation, take 2 drinks
    - If he admits he loves Soi, take 1 drink
        - Out loud, take 3 drinks
            - Before her death, go raid the liquor cabinet

SOI
    - If she actually tells Nakago she loves him, take 2 drinks
        - If he reciprocates, take 3 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 4 drinks
    - If she dumps Nakago, take 3 drinks

TOMO
    - For every cackle, take 1 drink
    - For every reference to the makeup, take 1 drink
        - If anybody sees him without it, take 2 drinks
    - If he's not a jerk, take 2 drinks
        - And it isn't written by Aeanagwen and/or C-chan, take 3 drinks
    - Every time his love for Nakago is mentioned, take 1 drink
        - If he actually gets lucky with the Shogun, take 4 drinks
            - If it isn't written by Aeanagwen and C-chan, add 2 drinks
    - If he dumps Nakago, take 3 drinks and cheer
        - And falls for Soi instead, take 4 drinks
            - And it goes lemon, add 2 drinks

AMIBOSHI
    - For every mention of the flute, take 1 drink
    - For every mention of his crush on Miaka, take 2 drinks
    - For every mention of his twin bond, take 1 drink
        - For every time he uses the twin bond to find Suboshi, take 1 drink
    - For every time he ends up in a bed with Suboshi, take 1 drink
        - And it goes lemon, add 2 drinks and say out loud "This author is one sick puppy."

SUBOSHI
    - For every time the phrase "psycho yo-yo boy" is used, take 1 drink
    - For every time his love for Yui is mentioned, take 1 drink
        - If she reciprocates, take 2 drinks
            - If it goes lemon, take 3 drinks
    - For every time he ends up in a bed with Amiboshi, take 1 drink
        - And it goes lemon, add 2 drinks and say out loud "This author is one sick puppy."

ASHITARE
    - If he appears, take 1 drink
    - If he acts like a dog, take 2 drinks
        - And attempts to mate with Nakago's leg, take 5 drinks
    - If he's maltreated, take 1 drink
    - If it's a poignant deathfic, take 3 drinks and email the author

MIBOSHI
    - For every mention of the third eye, take 2 drinks
    - Every time he attempts to possess another character, take 2 drinks
    - For every reference to his 'Nakago Complex', take 2 drinks
   - If he isn't a heartless bastard, scull the glass and email encouragement to the author

SEIRYUU
    - If He refers to His Shichiseishi as "My children", take 1 drink
    - If He is referred to as a lizard or other non-draconic reptile, take 2 drinks
- If He and the other Gods are brothers, take 1 drink
    - And He's having a sibling spat with Suzaku, take 2 drinks
        - And He tries to eat Suzaku, add 2 drinks
    - And He and Suzaku are being ganged up on by Genbu and Byakko, take 2 drinks

SUZUNO
    - For every time her relationship with Tatara is mentioned, take 1 drink
    - For every time the phrase "enduring love" is used, take 1 drink

TATARA
    - For every time he makes a plant grow to take care of the current crisis, take 2 drinks
    - For every time his relationship with Suzuno is mentioned, take 1 drink

SUBARU
    - For every time she tells Tokaki off, take 1 drink
    - For every time she cooks a magnificent feast, take 1 drink
    - For every time she uses her Shichiseishi talent to save the situation, take 2 drinks

TOKAKI
    - Every time the words "Hentai!", "Ecchi!", "Dirty old man!" or "Pervert!" are used, take 1 drink
    - Every time his training of Tamahome is mentioned, take 2 drinks
    - Every time he gets clobbered by a pretty girl, take 2 drinks
        - And it's not Subaru, take 4 drinks

BYAKKO
    - If He and the other Gods are brothers, take 1 drink
        - And He and Genbu are ganging up on Suzaku and Seiryuu, take 2 drinks
            - And Suzaku and/or Seiryuu are deliberately annoying the fur off Their older brother, take 3 drinks
    - If Byakko is portrayed as female, scull the glass

TOKIKO
    - If the fic features Tokiko, Genbu no Miko, scull the glass and email encouragement to the author

HIKITSU AND TOMITE
    - If the fic features them, take 2 drinks, raising at least 1 to the author
        - And it isn't written by Kichiri, take 3 drinks
    - If one falls in love with the other, take 1 drink
        - If it's reciprocated, add 1 drink
            - If it goes lemon, add 2 drinks
                - After they're dead, add 3 drinks

GENBU
    - If He and the other Gods are brothers, take 1 drink
        - And He and Byakko are ganging up on Suzaku and Seiryuu, take 2 drinks
        - And Suzaku and/or Seiryuu are deliberately annoying the shell off Their older brother, take 3 drinks
    - If He has trouble consuming His Miko, take 2 drinks

HOUKI
    - Any fic featuring Houki as a major character, take 3 drinks
        - And it isn't written by Raye Johnsen, add 2 drinks

SHOUKA
    - Any fic featuring Shouka as a major character, take 3 drinks

THE MT LEIKAKU BANDITS
    - If Hakurou appears, take three drinks (BECAUSE HE'S COOL!)
        - And he's Genrou's foster-father, take 2 drinks
            - And the fic features him doing father-type things with Genrou and Kouji, take 3 drinks
    - If Kouji appears, take 2 drinks
        - And he's Genrou's foster-brother, take 2 drinks
            - And the fic features him doing brother-type things with Genrou, take 3 drinks
    - If the nameless bandit who got the crush on Hotohori appears, take 1 drink

TASUKI'S FAMILY
    - If Aidou appears, take 2 drinks
        - And she doesn't flatten Tasuki with a log, take 3 drinks
    - Every time Tasuki's mother flattens him with her breast, take 2 drinks
    - If Tasuki's father is mentioned, take 3 drinks

TAIITSUKUN
    - If the phrase "Sunakake Baba" doesn't come up ONCE, take 2 drinks
    - If Taiitsukun appears in Her true form, take 3 drinks

NYAN-NYANS
    - For every "Naosu naosu!", "Heal heal!" or "Fix fix!" take 1 drink
    - Every time they get sent into low earth orbit, take 2 drinks
        - And it's not by Taiitsukun, take 4 drinks

SELF-INSERTED CHARACTERS
    -If an SI appears, take 1 drink
        -If they're a new Miko or Shichiseishi, take 2 drinks
            -And they singlehandedly save the universe, take 3 drinks
    -If one of the characters falls in love with the SI, take 1 drink
        -And the character loves them back, take 3 drinks
            -And the fic turns into a lemon, take 3 drinks and go read a different fic
